Welcome to Lions Sports Academy

Welcome to Lions Sports Academy

A message from the CEO - Andy Jones

"I am pleased to announce that we have rebranded to Lions Sports Academy.

The Lions brand was originally set up in 2011 by one of our Founders, Simon Pennock, to allow more children from all backgrounds to enjoy top level sports coaching on a volunteer basis and we feel this better reflects the focus of the business going forward. Lions also gives us the opportunity to fully explore all sports and target a larger demographic, to therefore offer more opportunities for young people to get involved and stay involved in sport.

Our coaches have a wealth of experience coaching across London, Surrey and Middlesex and we hope the company will rapidly expand its specialised range of sports coaching services throughout the region.

What it means for our existing clients is that it’s “business as usual”, and we will of course continue to execute our sports coaching contracts with the same, if not better, level of excellence and professionalism you have come to experience.

Lions Sports Academy: “Building Confidence … Exceeding Expectations”.

As we emerge into this exciting new phase, I’d like to take the opportunity to thank you for your continued support."

Our February Half Term camps were a great success with some fantastic athletes coming down. Thanks to Tom Bowen (England 7's) who came down to coach at our Academy camp!

We have been busy with our highly successful Athlete Development Programme (formally known as Speed Academy) cycles with the first set of cycles at St Mary's and Osterley finishing a couple of weeks ago, St Mary's and SSP starting this week.
Lion Cubs (formally known as Mini Titans) has also got off to a great start with the Sunday morning sessions being busy each week, even in the freezing cold!
Lions Football Camp

Lions football is going from strength to strength with a recent increase in camps governed by very own semi professional football player Kiernan Woodley.  Once a professional player for Crystal Palace and Celtic FC, Kieran now focuses all his energy in to Lions offering a unique coaching experience, striving to improve each players’ strengths and weaknesses.
