Lions Sports Academy May half term camps kicked off today with our cricket camp at Daneshill school, in which over 45 children will be attending over the two days. The second day of the cricket camp will see a visit from former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan in the morning to talk to the children about his career experiences, before he begins his work for Radio 5 live throughout the World Cup that begins on Thursday 30th May.
We also have two more exciting camps taking place this week with our mixed Athlete Development camp taking place at Guildford Rugby Club & our Girls Athlete Development Day at Aylesbury Rugby Football Club, both starting tomorrow.
Our Athlete Development Camp at Guildford Rugby Club will feature an appearance from Invictus Games superstar and World Disabled Strongman Martin Tye. Martin will be visting the camp to oversee some of the training and to talk to the children about his experiences and how he was able to use sport in his life. Martin is currently the No.1 ranked disabled strongman in the world and has won 11 medals throughout his time competing at the Invictus Games.
We still have places remaining on all of these camps, including the second day of our cricket camp at Daneshill, so if you fancy coming along for a bit of a run about over half term and also fancy meeting these legends, then secure your place now!
