Coming to our Athlete Development Camp at Guildford during May half term will be none other than Invictus Games legend Martin Tye. Martin Tye, is the indoor reigning rowing champion 3 years running, a six time Invictus games medallist and competes in disabled strongman events, currently ranked 2nd in the world.
Martin has also broken the Seated Deadlift World Record - lifting 505kg!!! Amazing!
We cannot wait to have someone of Martin's stature attend one of our camps and hopefully he will be able to give all the participants some tips on how to train properly and progress when trying to enhance their strength & conditioning.
All the participants will be able to ask questions to Martin when he comes along on Wednesday 29th May in the afternoon. He will take the children through some workouts and give them some tips & coaching on how to train properly in order to allow them to progress easier but also more importantly to make sure they are not harming themselves when training, therefore reducing the risk of injury!
Hopefully we will see as many of your down at Guildford RFC throughout the camp and come along to say Hi to Martin!
