Worlds Unite Girls Rugby Camp
Rugby

Lions Sports Academy are well practiced in the art of running Sports development camps throughout school holidays. The camps build confidence and skill's such as passing, catching, running lines, tackling and age grade rules and in every player. Lions achieve this through Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU), while ensuring that everyone is having an enjoyable time with our experienced coaches'.

The Lions Team boasts CountyAcademyNational and International players whose friendly and personal approach, combined with their expertise, create the perfect learning environment to develop young players.

Structure of the day:

  • Registration
  • Morning session - sport specific core skills, speed training and strength & conditioning
  • Lunch
  • Small sided, conditioned games
  • Competitions & tournaments
  • Collection and awards (Final day only)

Courses will focus on rugby's principles of play; contest posession, go forward, provide support, create continuity, apply pressure, score points. And the afternoons will be packed full of fun games to increase competence and confidence - taking the skills learnt throughout the morning into game situations.

Who we run camps for?

We run our Rugby and Worlds Unite Camps for schools and rugby clubs. These can be run privately to members or we can run a development camp open to the community, giving a chance to look at new players or promote your club or school.
