Lions Sports Academy are well practiced in the art of running Sports development camps throughout school holidays. The camps look to build confidence and skill competence in every player and Lions look to achieve this through the use of designed drills and various Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU), while ensuring that everyone is having an enjoyable time with our experienced coaches'. 

The Lions Team boasts CountyAcademyNational and International players who, with their friendly and personal approach, combine their expertise to create the perfect environment to develop young players. Professionalism and an adherence to our values, not to mention the wealth of ambition and expertise at your fingertips, makes for a winning formula to nurture talent. Structure of the day:

  • 9:30am: Registration
  • 10am: Morning session - Sport specific core skills, speed training and Strength & Conditioning
  • 12pm: Lunch 
  • 1pm: Small sided, conditioned games
  • 2.00pm: - Competitions & tournaments
  • 3pm: Collection and Awards (Final day only)

​Mornings of the camp focus on skill based drills and games, with each day focusing on a different principle of play. The afternoons are packed with tournaments, and small sided games, to increase competence and confidence. Taking the skills learnt throughout the morning into game situations.

Who we run camps for?

We run camps for Schools, Rugby Clubs and Football Clubs. We can either run camps privately to clubs to improve their squads across different age groups or we can run a development camp open to all giving a chance to look at new players or promote your club.
